Get Involved
Join the crew aboard to share your knowledge or learn from others, visit us at one of our harbour open days or help us to raise funds to keep discovering and sharing.
We are also looking for researchers, community groups and individuals along our route who are active in researching or reducing plastic waste or organising beach cleans etc.
If you are passionate about stopping plastic pollution then please do contact us - we can't wait to hear from you!
Join the Crew
Boat Crew
Become a member of the team, sailing a wooden ship around the Channel, visiting local ports & harbours, and learning with us how to tackle the plastic waste problem. Crew for one leg or for as many as you like. Your berth, all food & soft drinks consumed aboard and all boat-related fees (e.g. moorings) are covered by a £50 per day charge which helps pay the project's costs.
If you are a scientist, educator, researcher, activist, artist or innovator who would like to share your work in this field with the rest of the crew and via our media channels then you can apply for one a limited number of heavily discounted "sponsored" berths. These berths are also available to those with other key skills who can help us to communicate what we discover.
Shore Crew
This project is as much about the communities that we visit and the stories of local people tackling the plastics issue as it about the sea and sailing.
Whatever it is that you are doing about the sea plastic crisis we'd like to meet you, talk about it and share it with the world.
We could also do with some local help in the ports that we are visiting. If you are passionate about the sea-plastics problem, feel happy to do a little legwork and would love to be a part of the project then contact us to tell us how you'd like to take part.
Support Crew
Like all sailors we know the value of being a jack of all trades, but we're also aware that we are not masters of many skills that will make this project shine even brighter.
Whether you want to sail aboard or not, and regardless of whether you live near one of our destination ports we'd still love to hear from you - especially if you have any of the following skills:
Graphic/Web Design, Social Media, Video Production, Drone Photography, Events Mgt, PR, Illustration.
Donations & Sponsorship
Donations
At the moment this project is being funded by our passion and our savings. We're happy to do it but a little extra sure would help.
Every penny helps us to keep discovering and sharing more information about sea plastics with the widest possible audience. Extra money also allows us to provide subsidised berths for people with the skills to help, but not the means to pay, and any funds left over at the end of the project will be donated to the Marine Conservation Society.
Individual or
Corporate Sponsors
If you are a donor who can afford to offer a little bit more we would really appreciate your help.
Please get in touch and we'll talk about how we can arrange a special thank you.
Perhaps you can join us on board in harbour, come sailing for a day or maybe we could be flying your flag!
